Cannes 2024: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan flashes her billion-dollar smile on the red carpet; fails to impress with her dress

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a regular at Cannes and this year is no different. The actor arrived at the French Riviera with daughter Aaradhya earlier today and has already appeared at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès (Palace of Festivals and Conferences). While the actress’ billion-dollar smile is winning hearts, her red carpet look has failed to impress.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has walked the iconic Cannes 2024 red carpet in a custom Falguni & Shane Peacock gown. The designer black gown features puffed white sleeves, a white train adored with gold detachable floral artwork (yes, they are attached to the dress with velcro) and gold swirls on the bodice.

While the actress’ ensemble looks gaudy (she could have definitely loosed the puffed sleeves and the gold foil work), her hair and makeup prove to be a saving grace. The actress opted for her brown locks to be clipped in place and the loose tresses flowing freely down her back. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s makeup consists of an even-toned base, mauve lipstick, kohl-lidded eyes and perfectly done lashes. The tint of blush makes her smile pop even better.

She accessorized the look with chunky gold earrings, a ring and a plaster on her right hand.

Aishwarya receives a warm welcome

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived at Cannes earlier today (May 16). She looked stylish in a printed dark blue long coat paired with an all-black ensemble. The injured actress – who was accompanied by her daughter, Aaradhya, received a warm welcome in the French Riviera resort town. Aishwarya was also snapped holding a bouquet while posing for the paps.
